He was born on 10 March 1976 in Ljubljana. After completing primary school, he enrolled in a secondary school for veterinary technicians in 1991. He successfully graduated in 1995 and, despite a childhood ambition to become a veterinarian, decided to take up full-time employment as a veterinary technician.
As a trainee, he was employed at the first private clinic in Ljubljana, where he worked for nine months and also passed the professional certification exam. He was then called up for compulsory military service. After completing his military service, he began working in March 1997 at a small animal clinic in Kranj, where he remained until September 2024, when he joined the team at Klinika Loka.
